Up to this point, all Gigs on Fiverr had a base price of $5, and you had to adjust your offering according to this model. Although it enabled millions of amazing Gig offerings with great value for buyers, in some cases, it seemed a little too limited, preventing sellers from offering what they want, and prevented buyers from finding what they need.
Since Fiverr launched, we learned that buyers are looking for a large range of services and are willing to pay substantially more to get exactly what they need (using Extras, Multiples, and Custom Orders). Therefore, we decided to gradually run experiments with a new pricing model, allowing you to increase your base price to either $25, $50, or $100.
If you have a Gig in one of the subcategories we included in our Beta release, you have either received or will soon receive an email invitation to take part in the rollout.
Perfect pricing depends on a variety of aspects and differs from Gig to Gig and from seller to seller. In the following text, you’ll find some of these aspects and some suggestions, which will guide you in determining the new base price of your Gig.
WHAT ARE YOU SELLING?
What is it that you’re offering and how much is it worth?
- Are you offering something unique? Is it customised or exclusive?
- Are you offering something that has a higher perceived value than others on Fiverr?
- Does delivering your Gig take a long time because it requires extra care or focus?
- Are you offering something that is substantially cheaper than its market price?
- Do you want to offer something you currently can’t due to the $5 base price?
If you’ve answered ‘yes’ to any of the above questions, you should feel confident about raising the base price of your Gigs.
Changing your Gig price can also be an opportunity to change some of the details of your Gig. For instance, by increasing your base price, you may find it makes sense to offer larger projects or more unique services, which match this higher price point. Just make sure that what you’re offering is clearly indicated in your Gig’s title, description, and gallery. Help buyers understand the reason for your higher base price. We recommend you update your delivery time and Extras to support your new Gig pricing model.

If your Gigs are popular and have high demand, it’s a clear indicator that your value proposition is very appealing for buyers. Increasing the base price of your Gigs will help you in better balancing your demand while maximizing your quality and income.

- How much will it cost elsewhere, and how appealing would you like to be compared to your competition?
