Restoring an iPhone is a useful process when you’re going to sell the iPhone or you want to troubleshoot it after data has been corrupted. The iPhone has a built in reset option. You don’t need to connect your iPhone to a computer to restore through the iTunes software.
Follow the steps below to restore your iPhone
Note: First you have to Back Up your iPhone
Step 1: Connect iPhone to the internet through a Wi-Fi connection.
Step 2: Tap > Settings > Select > iCloud > Back Up Now
Step 3: Tap button > Back Up Now > to cause the iPhone to back up its settings to iCloud, which may take several minutes to an hour or more.
Note: Now you have to Restore the iPhone
Step 4: Tap > Settings > General
Step 5: Scroll to bottom > Tap Reset
Step 6: Tap > Erase All Content and Settings > Confirm this choice > Press the button > Erase iPhone > to restore your iPhone to its factory settings.
Note: Now you have to Restoring From a Back Up
Step 7: Start up your iPhone. On a freshly restore iPhone, you are prompted to use the Setup Assistant. Do this in a place where the iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi signal. This can consume a lot of data.
Step 8: Select > Restore from iCloud Backup
Step 9: Enter iCloud > Usename and Password. Your iPhone will restart and begin downloading your backup from iCloud. You may be asked to choose from up to three backups on iCloud, store by date.
